Ozark Highlands Trail Association 2nd Sunday of the month in Springdale. This is a great opportunity to meet folks who share similar interest in hiking and over night backpacking. Contact OHTA or 870-861-5536.Ozark Off Road Cyclist 7:00 pm, 2nd Tuesday of month, West Mountain Brewery. This is the opportunity to meet mountain bikers who share common interest in riding. Also, the OORC builds trails and maintains them all over the Ozarks. A bi-monthly newletter contains information about up coming rides and trails built. Ozark Society- Highlands Chapter 7:30 pm, 2nd Wednesday of the month, 1st Presbyterian Church, Calvin Road, Fayetteville. The Ozark Society was founded in 1962 to save the Buffalo River. The Ozark Society is still going strong preserving our natural resources, and it has regular outings where you can join others on hikes or float trips. The Ozark Society meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the 1st Presbyterian Church on Calvin Road in Fayetteville. Contact Ozark Society or 479-521-4062.
Sierra Club-Ozark Headwaters Group 7:00 pm, 4th Wednesday of the month, Powerhouse Seafood, Fayetteville. This Sierra Club chapter is focused on conservation of resources in your community. Contact Sierra Club or

Audubon Society-NWA The Audubon Society practices conservation and restoring ecological systems to help build habits for birds and even other wildlife. Currently there are no events scheduled for now, but can contact Audubon Society and find out what maybe scheduled in our area this Fall.
Arkansas Canoe Club Last Monday of Month, Picasso's Pizza, Hwy 16. The Arkansas Canoe Club NWA chapter meets locally several times a year, and it has slide shows and discusses topics related to paddling. ACC schedules paddling trips on the rivers in Arkansas during the rainy season. Also, it does the famous paddling school on the Mulberry in May and the popular ACC Rendevous in September.
